Sleep clinic in Oxford

Spent the night in the sleep clinic in Oxford last night so had the day off today.
When I took Karen back to hospital (she stayed at home last night to be with Jake) I went with her to a physio session and actually saw her take about a dozen steps, albeit with the aid of a walking frame. Unbelievable.

Karens Stroke

At 07:00 on Sunday March 14th, Karen suffered from a catastrophic stroke.
Ambulance called and left for Medway hospital at about 07:30
After arrival seen by young female stroke team member.
After brief look she went to look at ambulance/arrival notes. Didn't see her again.
Doctor came to look at Karen then left saying he did not think it was a stroke.
After a long wait, I gave up and said I was taking Karen to another hospital. A CT scan was then offered.
Karen returned after about ten minutes with a report that said she did not have a stroke.
The doctor said he did not know what was causing the paralysis and told Karen to go home and sleep it off.
I had to go and find a wheelchair and my Dad and I got her off of the table and into the wheelchair.
We then had great trouble getting her into my Dads car.
Back at my Dads house we transferred into my car from where I went to Darent Valley hospital.
On arrival at the hospital a security guard got Karen into a wheelchair and went immediately into the resus room.
After being examined by a doctor he phoned Kings College Hospital and spoke to a specialist who asked for Karen to be immediately taken to Kings.
She was taken by ambulance under 'blues and twos' but it was now too late for the proper 'clot busting medication an the preventable damage was done.
